Prayer and Updates
Dear friends,
Thanks for your interest and willingness to pray for this work. I believe it holds the potential of transforming lives by opening God’s Word in a way that is fresh, yet true to His intentions. I want to be “a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth” (2 Timothy 2:15).
With an emphasis on the Messianic roles of Jesus, His purpose while on earth and His purpose now as our High Priest, we can “connect the dots” and see the big picture of God’s unbelievable plan that will usher in His Kingdom.
I also want to publish a book about Israel as the key to the Bible. By helping Christians to understand the central role of Israel, not only in the past, but also in the present and in the future, we see not only the unity of Jews and Gentiles in the Body of Messiah (Ephesians 2:14), but also the debt that we who are Gentiles owe to our Jewish brothers and sisters (Romans 15:27).
Finally, a book needs to be published about the history of Jewish disciples of Jesus. The Bible emphasizes the significance of this faithful remnant of Jewish people, and God has promised to preserve them as a testament to His faithfulness. In fact, they are presented as the guarantee that one day, “all Israel will be saved” (Rom 11:26).
In light of these truths, it is alarming that standard works of Church History know so little about them. Throughout the Old Testament, a remnant of the people anticipated the coming of Messiah in faith. Upon His arrival, they received Him in salvation and proclaimed Him to the nations. Throughout history, they have suffered martyrdom and persecution, but God has preserved them and used them in surprising ways. This is a story that needs to be told.
